This Privacy Policy explains how Maneki Neko Productions Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”), the operator of hitstop.app and the “HitStop” mobile app (the “Service”), collects and uses your information.

HitStop does not require an account, email address, or password. To take part in leaderboards, you create a profile by choosing a display name (username) and selecting a country. If you contact us, we keep the content of your email so we can reply and follow up.

If you buy coins or subscribe to HitStop Pro, payments are processed by Apple or Google. We don’t receive or store your card details — only enough information to recognise your purchase (for example, a transaction ID and the type of item bought).

We don’t ask for your email address, real name, phone number, or password. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use your gameplay data to train machine learning models.

The username and country you choose, together with your scores, appear on public global leaderboards visible to anyone using the Service. Don’t use a username or country that you wouldn’t want shown publicly — for example, don’t put personal information (such as your real name, email, or phone number) into your username.

You can change your username or remove your profile at any time from the in-app settings, or by emailing contact@hitstop.app.

We keep your profile and gameplay data for as long as your profile is active on a device. If you remove your profile, we remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we need to keep it longer for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Aggregate and anonymised data (for example, “the average accuracy on a 5-second target was 87 ms”) may be kept indefinitely.

The Service isn’t intended for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact contact@hitstop.app and we’ll delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we’ll notify you as required by law.

We use cookies, local storage, and mobile advertising identifiers to remember your profile, measure usage, and (in the free version of the App) show ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can limit or reset advertising identifiers in your device settings. If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll let you know through the Service before they take effect. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised.
